| What is this all about? | jamwith.us is a private Website supporting online jamming - which means musicians collaborating together just for fun! The site is owned by DocEwil. Any kind of collaborations are welcome. The site especially supports the ftpsync format. | |
| Why do I have to register ? | The system gives you FTP access to session Data. This can`t be unprotected. You have to enter a valid email adress to confirm your registration, to be sure no unwanted files are posted . Jamwith.us will not give your data to any 3rd person. | |
| What is the ftpsync-format? | It is a format that allows exchange of sessions created with your multitrack audio recording software (eg, Cubase, Sonar, Logic)- see the Dawsync Help pages for detailed information. | |
| Which platforms are supported? | The ftpsync scripts are Unix scripts. They work in a Unix emulation surrounding (cygwin) on Windows systems. A Mac compatible OSX version will be available soon. If you would like to beta-test the Mac version, please contact Fred Clark | |

| What can I do to evolve the online-jamming concept? | Contact admin@jamwith.us - We need any kind of help.- Especially webdesign and Beta-Testing! | |
| How can I protect my rights for my work? | The idea of the site is jamming - that means fun - not commercial interests. The ownership of the submitted material is with the submitting person. Jamwith.us doesn`t save any audiosessions (exept the demo-session) on its webspace. You need to have access to your own FTP - space to get a session to run. Jamwith.us will not take any responsibility for posted materials. It only provides a communication platform. | |
| What can I do if the system fails? | Send an email to the admin - go to church and lead
a better life heh hehe. Due to the evolving status of the system there will be errors, faults, flubs and glitches. Please take your time to make sure its not a configuaration or local system error. If the error is reproducable tell the admin or paste to the forum. Jamwith.us can`t take responsibility guarantee for any lost material or malfunctions associated with the program/website. The Chat Room is another source of help. |
|
| Can I use the system for professional work? | If you want to use the system professionally you should use the private status. Be sure to have backups of your work. It would be nice to have a notice on your final product that the work was done with ftpSYNC and jamwith.us. | |
| What DAW software can I use? | Here at jamwith.us, we mostly use Cubase VST and Cubase SX. Other multitrack recording software (heretoforth referred to as DAW's) such as Logic, N-Track and Cakewalk, Sonar should theoretically work with the system. We encourage you to try starting sessions with the DAW of your choice and if we have it, we'll try it with you! | |
